BISCUIT PLANT
OVEN
- check the oven band condition .
- check band tracking system .
- In case you find oven band to be damaged from sides cut that section andput a new section for the
damaged section.
- check all circulating and turbelence fan its v belt and bearings.
- check band brush
- check oven drive motor
- check all burners
- clean all nozzles for burner-change choked nozzles.
- change damaged electrode of burners
PACKING MACHINES
- check all heaters replace the damaged or non working heaters
- check all cutter and anvil ,change the damaged one
- check all photo sensors .
- change damaged lugs. set stack length .
- check all conveyors and change the damaged conveyor web
- adjust the stack length through cross pusher.
- syncronise spped of auto feeder and cross pusher .
- check printer for impressions on wrapper .
CONVEYORS
- check all rollers . replace the damaged and worn out rollers.
- put proper lubricant to all gear boxes.
- adjust roller as per web tracking
- adjust tension of web by rollers adjustment .
LAMINATORS
- check the pneumatic circuit and pressure
- check the stroke of all trolleys in laminator .
- check all webs and rollers in laminator.
GAUGE ROLLERS
- check chain and sprockets
- check the geared motor
- check the moulder or cutter gears

BAKERY PLANT MAINTENANCE TIPS
World over We have many biscuit plant which have unique features and require special maintenance
requirement and skills .
Plant engineer has to ensure that machine utilisation is maximum and are maintain properly with
spares inventory .
The following are techniques which a plant engineer adopts for maintenance .

C- Cleaning. After every shift operations operators should
clean all the equipments and in normal maintenance day through cleaaning should be done for
pakcing machines , gauge rolls ,
ovn band , roller conveyors etc.small compressors should be utilised to clean syrface through
compressed air .All electrical panels to be cleanded by Cleaning solvents like CRC sprays .
O- Oiling .All gear boxes , chain,sprockets and guide have to be lubricated normally for food
industry we get food grade lubricant . Food grade lubricant brands are ROCOL , LPS , .All major
rollers bearing to be lubricated .
T- Tightening .All fasterners e.g Bolts , screw and pulleys and sprockets with keys , grouting bolts
have to checked and tightened.
By completing above mentioned activity break down can be reduced .
